Liver Cancer Animal Model (CAT#: STEM-AE-0091-WXH)

Introduction

Liver cancer is a malignant tumor of the liver, which can be divided into two categories: primary and secondary. In recent years, the incidence of liver cancer has been on the rise worldwide. There are many factors related to the induction of liver cancer, such as viruses, chemical carcinogens, alcohol, etc., but the exact pathogenesis is still unclear. Therefore, the establishment of an animal model that is similar to the biological characteristics of human liver cancer has important practical significance for the study of the pathogenesis of liver cancer and the development of drugs.

Applications

Research on the pathogenesis of liver cancer and drug development.

Procedure

• Induced liver cancer model:
Commonly used liver cancer inducers include diethylnitrosamine (DEN), aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) and so on.
• Transplanted liver cancer model:
An animal model formed by transplanting mouse or human liver cancer tissues, cell lines or other malignant tumors (such as breast cancer) into mice.
• Genetically engineered liver cancer model:
Mdr2 knockout mice, Tak1 liver-specific knockout mice, Pten liver-specific knockout mice, Apc liver-specific knockout mice, Mir-122 liver-specific knockout mice, Myc liver-specific overexpression mouse.
