Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) Technology

Biolayer interferometry (BLI) is a simple, optical dip-and-read system useful for measuring interactions between proteins, peptides, nucleic acids, small molecules, and/or lipids in real time. It is an optical technique for measuring macromolecular interactions by analyzing interference patterns of white light reflected from the surface of a biosensor tip. BLI experiments are used to determine the kinetics and affinity of molecular interactions. BLI can be used to measure biomolecular interactions between protein-protein, protein-liposome, etc. It can be applied to a wide pharmaceutical field of protein quantitation, affinity and kinetics determination, drug/antibody screening, library screening, drug/antibody discovery, and optimization of drug process development.
