Dry Ice Blast Cleaning

Dry ice blasting is a simple, nonabrasive cleaning process that uses CO2 pellets as impact medium for removing surface contaminants without the use of chemicals, abrasive materials, high temperatures, or steam. The solid pellets sublime directly after impact on the surface, leaving no solid residue after blasting. The technique can be used for cleaning surfaces, removing paint, or stripping contaminants from a surface. Applications of dry ice blasting range from precision cleaning of semiconductor wafers and delicate items such as books and antiques to removal of contaminants on a variety of substrates, as well as decontamination of nuclear materials, cleaning of food and beverage processing equipment, mold spore removal, etc.
