Laser Scattering Technology

Laser scattering is a sensitive technique and is capable of detecting particles as small as 0.2–0.15 μm in diameter with a probability of 90–50% respectively. Using angle-resolved light scattering, it is possible to obtain compositional and morphological data on the particle. Laser light scattering is a widely applied technique for studying biomolecules in solution. The most common applications include determination of size, shape, and structure of proteins, their aggregates, and complex formation with other mole-cules.
