The 1201K is a high-resolution touchscreen tester for determining the density and purity of gold and precious metals. It uses water displacement based on the Archimedes principle. The instrument is suitable for jewelry inspection, pawn appraisal, banking, and laboratory research. Its 0.001 g minimum weighing level supports measurement of small precious-metal samples. A density resolution of 0.0001 g/cm³ provides detailed result differentiation. The large LCD displays test values directly. Temperature compensation, solution compensation, and upper and lower density limits can be configured. A buzzer provides audible prompts during operation. RS232C connectivity, a built-in battery, and a draft shield support accurate and portable testing.
