Description

The MVM25 is a laboratory vortex mixer designed for rapid mixing and homogenization of small-volume liquid samples in tubes and vials. It generates high-frequency orbital motion through an eccentric drive mechanism, producing a characteristic vortex in the sample. Speed is continuously adjustable from gentle mixing to full vortex, accommodating samples from delicate biological preparations to robust chemical solutions. The unit operates in touch-activated or continuous mode, providing flexibility for single or extended mixing tasks. A broad range of accessory heads and tube adapters extends compatibility to PCR strips, microplates, and various tube formats. The rubber cup head provides a secure, non-slip grip on standard microcentrifuge and culture tubes. Vibration-dampening feet stabilize the instrument on the bench during high-speed operation. Its compact design allows placement in restricted bench spaces or under laminar flow hoods. The instrument is suitable for cell lysis, reagent dissolution, sample resuspension, and reaction preparation. It is broadly used in molecular biology, clinical, biochemistry, and general chemistry laboratories.
