Description

The Reveal ICM stands for Insertable Heart Monitor (ICM), records electrocardiograms, and helps medical staff make correct decisions about patients with suspected or known syncope and / or unknown or transient arrhythmias. Equipped with an algorithm for exclusive AF detection, the device is able to track patients facing transient symptoms that are signal of a cardiac arrhythmia.
Due to the complexity of diagnosing and examining these patients, it is necessary to use technology options that provide clear information. Reveal ICM has been used to monitor ECGs for three years. With this fact in mind, it has been able to overcome the common limitations in most monitoring and testing options.
Devices equipped with AF detection function can automatically classify rhythm types into asystole, bradyarrhythmias, fast ventricular tachyarrhythmia (FVT), ventricular tachyarrhythmia (VT) and atrial tachyarrhythmia/atrial fibrillation (AT/AF). The AF detection algorithm also helps detect the presence of AT / AF as well as asymptomatic attacks.
