The PlateCrane EX Robotic Arm Microplate Handler is manufactured by Hudson Robotics, Inc. PlateCrane EX is a microplate processor for laboratory automation, optimized for handling laboratory utensils in an "SBS footprint", including microplates, containers, and disposable tip holders. It has 4 axes of movement: tower rotation, vertical movement, telescopic boom and fixture rotation. It includes an optional EasyTeach teaching pendant to easily set the plate position in the work cell, as well as the revolutionary AutoTeach machine vision teaching system. PlateCrane microplate stackers are widely used in analytical development, cell biology, bioanalytical verification, DNA quantification, PCR setup and purification, and high-throughput drug screening. PlateCrane EX provides automated door-to-door operation for simple work cells using a single microplate instrument, or for complex work cells with multiple instruments, multiple processes, and even complete measurements.
