Colorectal Cancer Animal Model (CAT#: STEM-AE-0067-WXH)

Introduction

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common malignant tumor in the world. In recent years, with the improvement of living standards, the incidence of colorectal cancer at home and abroad has maintained a steady growth trend, which seriously threatens human health. Therefore, the establishment of a suitable and reliable animal model of colorectal cancer is of great significance for the study of its disease course mechanism and clinical drug treatment.

Applications

Research on the mechanism of disease course and clinical drug treatment.

Procedure

• Induction of colorectal cancer model (induced by chemical substances, physical, biological and other factors)
Take the widely used AOM/DSS-induced colorectal cancer model as an example: after intraperitoneal injection of the carcinogen azoxymethane (AOM), 5 days later, the inflammatory agent dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) was fed for 3 cycles.
• Transplanted colorectal cancer models (CDTX and PDTX)
With a high tumor formation rate and a short experimental period, it is often used in drug development and is the most commonly used colorectal cancer model in research. According to transplantation objects, it is divided into cell suspension injection (CDTX) and tumor tissue inoculation (PDTX).
