Gastric Ulcer Animal Model (CAT#: STEM-AE-0068-WXH)

Introduction

Gastric ulcer refers to the damage caused by the gastric mucosa being digested by gastric acid and pepsin under certain circumstances, and the degree of damage exceeds the muscularis mucosa. Helicobacter pylori and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, that is, antipyretic analgesics and aspirin, are the main causes of stomach ulcers.

Applications

• Study the pathogenesis and treatment of gastric ulcers.
• Drug development, drug screening and efficacy research.

Procedure

1. Stress method: use various strong harmful stimuli (such as forced braking, hunger, cold, etc.) to cause stress ulcers in animals.
2. Drug method: Some drugs can directly stimulate gastric mucosa, promote gastric acid secretion, affect gastric mucosal blood supply or inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, weaken its protective effect on gastric mucosa, and cause gastric ulcer. These drugs include: histamine, gastrin, corticosteroids, salicylates, serotonin, reserpine (reserpine), phenylbutazone, etc..
3. Pyloric ligation: After pyloric ligation, it can stimulate the secretion of gastric juice and make high-acidity gastric juice remain in the stomach, causing gastric ulcer.
