TMT-labeled Quantitative Proteomics (CAT#: STEM-MB-0092-WXH)

Introduction

Tandem Mass Tag (TMT) is an in vitro labeling technique for peptides. Its principle is basically similar to that of iTRAQ, using the covalent combination between the amino acid N-terminal and lysine residues and the reagent label to realize the labeling of the polypeptide, and then the ion peak intensity and ion peak mass-to-charge ratio obtained by tandem mass spectrometry are used to identify the protein. Qualitative and quantitative analysis. The technique can use up to 10 isotopic tags to label amino groups of peptides. After LC-MS/MS analysis, the relative content of proteins in 10 different samples can be compared simultaneously. TMT is widely used in the fields of disease marker screening, drug target, animal and plant disease resistance or stress resistance mechanism, animal and plant development and differentiation mechanism, etc.<br />Advantages of TMT: high sensitivity, strong separation ability, wide range of applications, and high throughput.
