Introduction

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a disease characterized by vascular proliferation and remodeling of small pulmonary arteries. Vascular proliferation and remodeling of the small pulmonary arteries lead to a progressive increase in pulmonary vascular resistance, eventually leading to right heart failure and death.
