Analysis of Sialic Acid (SA) by Enzyme-labeled Instrument (CAT#: STEM-MB-1394-LGZ)

Introduction

Sensitivity: 0.03 mmol/L
Detection range: 0.03-7 mmol/L
Precision: inter-lot difference of 6.1%, intra-lot difference of 4%
Detection equipment: Enzyme-labeled Instrument
Detection wavelength: 510-570 nm

Principle

Sialic acid (SA) forms a purple red complex with methyl resorcinol in the presence of oxidant, and the absorbance conforms to Beer-Lambert Law. By measuring the absorbance and standard of the complex, the content of sialic acid can be calculated.

Applications

For the determination of sialic acid in serum, plasma, saliva, urine, pleural fluid and animal and plant tissue samples.

Procedure

1. Prepare standard samples and experimental samples.
2. Add reaction reagents in order for reaction.
3. Measure the absorbance of each tube.
4. Make the mark curve and calculate the result.

Materials

• Sample Type: serum, plasma, saliva, urine, pleural fluid and animal and plant tissue samples
