Description

Advanced cell culture device, designed membrane culture flask, suitable for culturing antibody and protein products.
Newly launched high-density cell culture device. This design will greatly increase the density of the product when culturing antibody and protein products on a small scale. Conventional methods of culturing cells in vivo or in vitro are difficult, often yield very low cell densities and require efficient purification methods to obtain the product. CELLine bioreactors address these three limitations when growing cells in static flasks.
Wheaton's CELLine bioreactor adopts the semipermeable membrane separation culture technology of the cell chamber and the medium chamber, breaking through the constraints of air, nutrients, and metabolic inhibitors on cell growth in traditional cell culture. To a large extent, it simulates the growth environment of cells in organisms. The purpose of high-density cell culture and high-concentration product expression is realized.

How does the CELLine bioreactor work?

Culture room
The medium chamber can store a large amount of medium. The volume of this layer is about 70 times that of the cell layer, which is used to meet the needs of the cells for fresh medium during the cell culture process.

Upper metabolite dialysis membrane
The upper dialysis membrane allows nutrients with a molecular weight of less than 10 kDa to permeate from the medium compartment to the cell compartment, and metabolic inhibitors to permeate from the cell compartment to the medium compartment, and ensures that the target protein remains in the cell compartment.

Cell compartment
The cell chamber provides an ideal environment for inoculating and collecting high-density cultures. This compartment is enriched for high density cells and their products of interest.

Lower gas dialysis membrane

In static culture, the rate of gas transfer will limit the density of the cell culture. The cells in the CELLine culture flask can directly obtain oxygen from the gas dialysis membrane at the bottom to balance oxygen and carbon dioxide and increase the gas transfer rate.
