AGENTO® I.C.endotracheal tube (ETT) coated with silver is a ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) prevention device, which is suitable for patients who is at risk of intubation for 24 hours or more, minimizing reliance on users. In a multi-center clinical comparison test between silver-coated devices and uncoated tubes, the proportion of patients who accepted the AGENTO® I.C. silver-coated ETT developed VAP confirmed by microbiology was reduced by 36%.
