The Recombinant Rat M-CSF Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for growth and differentiation of monocytes and macrophages. Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (M-CSF) is a potent hematopoietic growth factor produced by various cells, including lymphocytes, monocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, myoblasts, and osteoblasts. It plays a critical role in regulating the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of blood monocytes, tissue macrophages, and their respective progenitor cells. M-CSF is essential in modulating dermal thickness and fertility. In clinical applications, M-CSF is used for the treatment of infections, malignant tumors, and atherosclerosis. It also promotes the recovery of hematopoietic function following bone marrow transplantation. While human M-CSF is reactive in mouse systems, its molecules do not exhibit activity in human cells. The lyophilized product can be stored at 2-8°C for 24 months. For reconstitution, it can be dissolved in injectable water, saline solution, culture medium, or PBS. After dissolution, it should be aliquoted, with a recommended storage period of 6 months at -20°C and 12 months at -80°C. When diluting, ensure a final concentration of no less than 100μg/mL and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
