The Recombinant Human KGF (FGF-7) Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for promoting epithelial cell proliferation and tissue repair. KGF/FGF-7 is one of the 23 known members of the FGF (fibroblast growth factor) family. Proteins in this family play a central role in prenatal development, postnatal growth, and tissue regeneration by promoting cell proliferation and differentiation. KGF/FGF-7 is a mitogenic factor specific to epithelial cells and keratinocytes. The signaling of KGF/FGF-7 occurs through FGFR 2b. KGF/FGF-7 plays a critical role in kidney and lung development, as well as in angiogenesis and wound healing. The lyophilized formulation can be stored at 4°C for 24 months. Once reconstituted, the liquid can be stored at -20°C for 6-12 months, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
