The Microm HM 315 microtome is a high-performance microtome system designed for efficient routine sectioning of paraffin-embedded specimens. Equipped with zero-maintenance crossed roller bearings, this Micromometer enables smooth vertical specimen movement. The instrument's heavy-duty monolithic construction also provides excellent strength and stability.

The Microm unit features a precise microfeed system with fully adjustable section thickness (0.5-60 microns) and a full feed range up to 28 mm. Another highlight is the automatic trimming function, which cuts specimens by 10 or 30 microns when the hand wheel is turned. The HM 315 is also suitable for universal cassettes when using quick release clips or tissue blocks up to 50 x 55mm with standard object clips.

Other notable features of the Microm HM 315 include the hand wheel, which can be locked in any position and guides the specimen accurately and efficiently through the stationary knife, the knife holder mounted precisely on the horizontal dovetail guide, and the option of preselection of section thickness for improved ease of handling sex.
