Description

The LC-STM-IV (A) is a Stormer viscometer designed for measuring the viscosity of paints, coatings, and other non-Newtonian fluids. It reports sample viscosity as Krebs units and can also display the corresponding load value in grams. The LCD simultaneously presents KU, cP, load, test time, and room-temperature information. A fixed rotor system allows the full measurement range to be tested without changing rotors. The stirring shaft operates at a controlled speed of 200 rpm. If the motor stalls or the sample exceeds the measuring range, the instrument stops automatically. Audible and visual alarms notify the operator of overload conditions. A spring-loaded container holder and stabilizing pad help prevent the sample vessel from tipping during testing. The compact benchtop structure supports routine quality-control measurements in coating and paint production.
