GEA Westfalia Separator, 400V, 5Amps, model FTC-1-06-107, is manufactured by GEA. The GEA Westfalia Separator, Model FTC 1-06-107, is for liquid-based applications and is equipped with a solidwall bowl with discs for the clarification of fermentation broth. The GEA centrifuge is also equipped with a Westfalia Separator softstream inlet system for the product. This type of inlet reduces the shearing forces occurring when the product enters the bowl. The broth enters the rotating bowl through the product feed and is separated in disc stack. The clarified supernatant (light phase) is discharged under pressure by means of the centripetal pump. The separated solids are collected in the solids holding space and are removed manually.
