TCSPC technology has the advantage of high dynamic range, usually with a photon count level of 4-5 orders of magnitude, which can ensure excellent accuracy of life determination. Since photon counting is controlled by Poisson statistics, the signal-to-noise ratio is highly predictable and the data analysis is very reliable due to the well-defined standard deviation.
