The WGG-60 is a portable gloss meter for measuring specular surface gloss. It is manufactured according to the JJG 696 verification standard. The instrument is suitable for coatings, inks, baked finishes, wood products, marble, granite, ceramic tiles, plastics, paper, and metal surfaces. It measures the ratio between light reflected from the sample and light reflected from a reference glass standard. A polished black glass standard with a refractive index of 1.567 is assigned a gloss value of 100 GU at a 60-degree geometry. The LCD provides clear measurement results with low power consumption. A typical measurement takes approximately three seconds. Automatic measurement and calibration simplify routine operation. The instrument can automatically set acceptance criteria and store up to 20 groups of results.
