Viscose, also known as rayon, is a semi-synthetic fiber, made from natural sources of regenerated cellulose, such as wood and related agricultural products. Rayon is commonly used as an alternative for cotton or natural silk, but it may be easier or cheaper to produce. Viscose fabric is known for its softness, breathability, hygroscopicity and drape. This fabric is used for most applications for which cotton is used. Whether it's dresses, shirts, or pants, rayon is used to make a wide variety of different types of clothing, and this fabric may also be used to make household items like towels, washcloths, or tablecloths.
