Trypsin-EDTA (0.25%, 1X), 100ml (CAT#: STEM-CC-4495-LC)

Cat Number: STEM-CC-4495-LC

Application: For detaching adherent cells from surfaces

Model: BS13002C

Description

Trypsin digests fibrous proteins like collagen, disrupting cell attachment. EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is a chelating agent that binds divalent cations (e.g., Mg²⁺, Ca²⁺). With its four negative charges per molecule, EDTA weakens cell adhesion and stabilizes DNA by inhibiting nucleases when added to solutions.
