Straw Testing

Straw is composed of the dry stems of plants, especially cereal crops. Cereal crops are grown for their nutrient-rich seeds, which are collected after maturity by cutting the grains and threshing them to extract the useful seeds. Straw is the material left behind.

Although it is an agricultural by-product rather than a primary crop, it has a wide range of uses. Straw can be used as a building material when mixed with earth, and it has also been traditionally used as insulation in timber-framed homes. It also prevents topsoil erosion and is used as a barrier against flooding, or as a temporary fence for livestock. If not properly disposed of, straw can only be accumulated in farmland, which not only takes up a large amount of cultivated land, but more seriously, some agricultural solid waste will cause soil pollution and damage.
