This weak anion-exchange medium is designed for high-resolution capture and purification of biological molecules. It uses a polymethyl methacrylate matrix with a hydrophilic surface treatment. Diethylaminoethyl functional groups provide weak anion-exchange selectivity. The 50 µm particles improve chromatographic resolution in demanding separations. A 1000 Å pore structure supports access by antibodies, proteins, peptides, nucleic acids, viruses, and insulin. The rigid matrix provides high mechanical strength and stable packed-bed performance. Low nonspecific adsorption contributes to recovery and process reproducibility. The medium supports salt regeneration and alkaline or ethanol-based cleaning.
