This weak anion-exchange chromatography medium is designed for large-scale biomolecule purification. It uses a polymethyl methacrylate matrix with a hydrophilic surface modification. Diethylaminoethyl groups provide weak anion-exchange binding and process selectivity. The 80 µm particle size supports rapid flow and low operating resistance. A 1000 Å pore structure permits access by antibodies, proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides, viruses, and insulin. The rigid particles maintain a stable bed under repeated process cycles. Low nonspecific adsorption helps improve product recovery. The medium is compatible with regeneration by salt and cleaning by sodium hydroxide or ethanol.
