This weak cation-exchange chromatography medium is designed for proteins, antigens, and other biological macromolecules. It uses a hydrophilically modified polymethyl methacrylate matrix. Carboxyl groups provide weak cation-exchange functionality. The 4000 Å pore structure facilitates transport of large molecules through the particles. Uniform pore channels support consistent separation and bed performance. The rigid particles provide high mechanical strength and relatively low backpressure. The stated lysozyme binding capacity is at least 75 mg/mL. Salt regeneration and alkaline or ethanol cleaning support repeated use.
