Highlights

Size-exclusion separation mechanism
1000-5000 Da fractionation range
Suitable for desalting

Cat Number: STEM-BC-3087-ZJF

Application: for desalting and small-molecule separation

Model: Seplife G25 C

Description

This dextran chromatography medium is designed for desalting and separation of peptides and other small molecules. It consists of crosslinked dextran with a three-dimensional porous network. Molecular separation occurs according to the ability of solutes to enter the gel pores. Molecules larger than the pore structure are excluded and elute first. Intermediate-size molecules enter part of the pore volume and elute later. Small molecules enter more of the internal pore network and experience the greatest delay. The stated fractionation range is 1000 to 5000 Da. The dry particles swell in liquid to form the working gel bed. Broad solvent compatibility supports use with denaturants, alcohols, acids, bases, detergents, and acetonitrile.
