This strong cation-exchange medium is designed for purification of monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, vaccines, blood products, viruses, DNA, and peptides. It uses a porous polystyrene-divinylbenzene polymer matrix. Sulfonic-acid groups provide strong cation-exchange binding. The rigid matrix supports operation at elevated pressure and high flow while maintaining low backpressure. High salt tolerance expands the usable feed-conductivity range. This property can reduce dilution, dialysis, and ultrafiltration buffer-exchange requirements. The medium provides high resolution and stable protein-binding capacity. Its physical and chemical stability supports linear process scale-up. The product is suitable for capture, intermediate purification, and polishing applications.
