This crosslinked agarose medium is designed for size-based purification of proteins, nucleic acids, and peptides. It uses four-percent crosslinked agarose gel particles. Molecular separation is based on differential access to the internal pore network. The very broad exclusion range supports purification of large biomolecules and assemblies. Low nonspecific adsorption helps maintain product recovery. The crosslinked structure provides resistance to denaturants and multiple organic solvents. Broad pH stability supports repeated cleaning-in-place. The particles can be reused for multiple purification cycles. The medium is suited to samples with large molecular-size differences and moderate resolution requirements.
