The Rotary Microtome YD-202 is a rotary microtome for preparing thin sections from embedded biological or material specimens. Rotation of the handwheel moves the specimen through a controlled cutting stroke. The feed mechanism advances the specimen by the selected thickness between successive sections. A clamp holds the specimen while the knife or blade carrier supports the cutting element. Adjustment mechanisms allow the operator to align the specimen and cutting angle where the model provides these controls. The rigid frame and guide system support stable section formation during manual operation. Handwheel locking and blade protection features support safer specimen changes and setup. The instrument is intended for histology, pathology, research, and hard-specimen sectioning workflows.
