Rheumatoid Arthritis Animal Models (CAT#: STEM-AE-0020-WXH)

Introduction

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disease mainly characterized by joint disease. Chronic, progressive, and aggressive joint inflammation is the main manifestation. The clinical features are joint redness, swelling, pain, or even stiffness, formation of osteoclasts, and damage to joint bone. Severe cases can lead to joint deformity and even loss of function, with a high disability rate . RA mostly occurs in middle-aged and elderly women, and the overall incidence in my country is about 0.3-0.4%. The pathogenesis is not yet clear, and it may be caused by a combination of factors such as genetics, infection, and environment.

• Study the pathogenesis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
• Drug development, drug screening and efficacy research.

Procedure

• Method 1. Collagen-induced rheumatoid arthritis model (CIA) model: injection of collagen and adjuvant for modeling.
• Method 2. Adjuvant rheumatoid arthritis model model: inject complete Freund's adjuvant to establish the model.
• Mrthod 3. Egg protein-induced type: injection of mixed emulsion made of chicken egg protein solution, BCG and Freund’s incomplete adjuvant (the ratio of the three is 1:2:1).
• Method 4. Genetically engineered RA animal model.
