The Recombinant Human VEGF165 Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for promoting angiogenesis and vascular permeability. VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) is a potent cell-signaling protein that stimulates cell growth and promotes angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood vessels. It facilitates the proliferation and survival of endothelial cells and enhances blood vessel formation and vascular permeability. VEGF is expressed in vascularized tissues and plays a crucial role in both normal and pathological angiogenesis. There is substantial evidence indicating the importance of VEGF in inducing tumor metastasis and conditions such as eye neovascular syndromes. VEGF signals through the expression of three receptors: FMS-like tyrosine kinase (Flt-1), the product of the KDR gene (homologous to mouse FLK-1 gene product), and the product of the FLT4 gene. The lyophilized form can be stored at 2-8°C for 24 months. For reconstitution, you can use injection-grade water, saline, culture medium, or PBS. After reconstitution, it's advisable to divide it into smaller aliquots and store them at -20°C for 6 months or -80°C for 12 months. The diluted solution should have a concentration of at least 100 μg/mL, and it should be avoided to undergo repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
