The Recombinant Human IL-1β Protein manufactured by Seafrom is suitable for studying pro-inflammatory effects and signaling pathways. IL-1β is a pro-inflammatory cytokine produced in various cells, including monocytes, tissue macrophages, keratinocytes, and other epithelial cells. IL-1α and IL-1β bind to the same receptor and exhibit similar biological properties. These cytokines have a wide range of activities, including promoting thymocyte proliferation, B cell maturation and proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, fibroblast growth factor-like activity, synovial cell release of prostaglandins, and collagenase, among others. However, IL-1β is a secreted cytokine, while IL-1α is primarily a cell-associated cytokine. Lyophilized preparations can be stored at 2~8°C for 24 months. For aliquoting, they can be reconstituted with injection water, physiological saline, culture medium, or PBS. After reconstitution, divide into smaller portions and store at -20°C for 6 months or at -80°C for 12 months. The final concentration after dilution should not be lower than 100μg/mL. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
