The FYQ-1 is a reagent card incubator used to bring blood grouping cards to a controlled temperature before reading. It holds up to twenty four cards at one time, which allows a batch of samples to be processed quickly. The unit is designed for both six well and eight well column cards, so the same instrument covers common card formats. An LED display shows the set values and temperature and time can both be adjusted by the user. A microprocessor controls temperature and time with good linearity and low fluctuation. Automatic timing is provided and an audible alarm indicates the end of the incubation period. The transparent upper cover allows the cards to be observed during the process. The housing is compact so the incubator occupies little bench space.
