Laboratory Incubator

A laboratory incubator is a heated, insulated box used to provide a temperature-controlled environment to support the growth of microbiological or cell cultures. It is usually made of stainless steel or glass and has a built-in heating element and thermostat to maintains optimal temperature, humidity and gaseous content of the atmosphere inside. Many incubators include a programmable timer which may be set to cycle through different temperatures and humidity levels. The common usage of an incubator in a lab is to provide optimal growth conditions for cells or cultures. It is also used to maintain the viability of cell lines and bacteria strains. STMart provides a variety of incubators available in different sizes.
