Description

The eFS200 is a mechanical plate-sealing instrument based on an adjustable rolling-pressure design. It is used to apply sealing films to PCR plates and related microplates in order to limit evaporation and leakage. The system can also press caps onto supported PCR tube strips with the appropriate operating mode. Touch-screen controls allow rolling force, cycle count, and related parameters to be adjusted for the selected consumable. The instrument supports pressure-sensitive and adhesive sealing films. Rolling positions can be selected to adapt the sealing action to the plate and film configuration. The mechanical process avoids relying on a high-temperature heat-sealing step. The sealer is intended to standardize plate closure before amplification, storage, or other plate-based processing.
