Monoclonal Antibody Production (CAT#: STEM-MB-0116-WXH)

Introduction

Monoclonal antibodies are highly homogeneous antibodies produced by a single B cell clone that only target a specific antigenic epitope. It is usually prepared by hybridoma technology. Hybridoma antibody technology is based on cell fusion technology, which combines sensitized B cells with the ability to secrete specific antibodies and myeloma cells with unlimited reproductive capacity into B cell hybridoma. <br />Using a single hybridoma cell with this characteristic to cultivate a cell population, a specific antibody against an antigenic epitope can be prepared, that is, a monoclonal antibody. Because it only acts on a certain antigenic determinant on the antigen complex molecule, it has the characteristics of strong specificity and high potency.
