The XH-800X is a microwave digestion workstation built for processing many samples in a single run. It is used for environmental waste degradation, high pressure microwave digestion, liquid phase treatment and high temperature microwave applications. Microwave energy at 2450 MHz is supplied by a professional source with 3000 W input and 2400 W output power. The large 68 litre multimode cavity houses a fourteen position rotary turntable holding 100 ml vessels. Temperature can be measured in contact mode up to 300 degrees Celsius or in non contact mode up to 500 degrees Celsius. Pressure is monitored by a piezoelectric ceramic sensor with a range up to 15 MPa and controlled automatically. A single channel temperature and pressure control system designed for parallel operation regulates both parameters simultaneously. The instrument is operated from a ten inch colour capacitive touch screen with a twelve megapixel camera. Air cooling supports continuous operation of 72 hours or longer.
