This basket filter is designed to remove larger solid contaminants from industrial pipeline fluids. It consists of inlet and outlet connections, a cylindrical housing, removable basket, flange, cover, and fasteners. Process liquid enters the housing and passes through the perforated or mesh basket. Solid particles remain inside the basket while cleaned fluid continues through the outlet. The filter protects pumps, compressors, instruments, valves, and other downstream equipment. Horizontal installation allows the flow direction to follow the arrow marked on the housing. Rising pressure loss or declining flow indicates that accumulated contaminants should be removed. The flange cover can be opened so that the basket is cleaned and reinstalled. Damaged or deformed stainless steel mesh should be replaced promptly to preserve the required filtration performance.
