Description

The D-160 is a high-shear rotor-stator homogenizer designed for dispersing, emulsifying, and disrupting samples in laboratory and pilot-scale applications. The rotor-stator generator head produces intense shear and turbulence within the sample to break down particles and create uniform emulsions or dispersions. Multiple generator probe geometries are available, optimized for different sample volumes and viscosity ranges. Continuous and pulsed operation modes allow flexible handling of heat-sensitive or foam-prone samples. Speed is adjustable over a wide range, from gentle dispersion to high-intensity cell disruption. Probe components are fabricated from corrosion-resistant materials compatible with aqueous and organic sample media. The drive unit accepts standard generator shafts for convenient probe exchange between applications. The instrument is suitable for tissue homogenization, cell lysis, emulsion preparation, and particle size reduction. Its robust construction supports continuous-duty operation in demanding research and analytical environments. It is widely used in food science, pharmaceutical development, biotechnology, and materials research.
