The MSDR-SH70-FB is an explosion-protected version of the SH70 online refractometer series. It is intended for liquid concentration measurement in hazardous process environments such as chemical and pharmaceutical operations. The sensing section measures Brix, refractive index, and temperature while installed in the process. Immersion measurement places the optical section directly in contact with the monitored liquid. The unit supports threaded, flange, and clamp installation interfaces. An analog output can transmit a signal corresponding to the measured Brix concentration. RS485 provides digital communication to external monitoring equipment. The measuring section uses a protected enclosure suitable for the stated process conditions. Its configuration combines online concentration measurement with an intrinsically safe explosion-protection classification.
