Nanoprisms

Nanoprisms are nanoscale, flat, triangular or rectangular particles with dimensions typically ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers. Their unique shape and size lead to distinct optical properties, particularly in surface plasmon resonance, which enhances light absorption and scattering. Applications of nanoprisms include use in sensors for detecting chemical substances, photonic devices, and biological imaging. In medicine, they are employed for targeted drug delivery and cancer therapy due to their ability to selectively interact with cancer cells. Additionally, nanoprisms are utilized in photovoltaic cells to improve energy conversion efficiency, facilitating advancements in renewable energy technologies.
