Histology Cryostat

Cryostats are sophisticated instruments designed to cut thin, frozen sections of tissue samples for histopathological analysis. They work by cryosectioning, where the tissue is embedded in a freezing medium and then precisely sliced into microscopically thin sections. One of the key features of cryostats is their ability to maintain ultra-low temperatures, typically below -20°C or even as low as -80°C. These frigid conditions ensure that tissue samples remain frozen and intact during sectioning, preserving their original morphology and minimizing artifacts. Pre-owned histology equipment can be used to prepare and examine tissues while managing budget constraints effectively.
