Description

CAMPY BAP serves as a selective medium specifically designed for isolating and cultivating Campylobacter jejuni from human fecal samples, utilizing vancomycin to suppress gram-positive bacteria (excluding Proteus), polymyxin B to inhibit gram-negative bacilli, and trimethoprim to control Proteus species. The medium's selectivity for Campylobacter jejuni relies on creating a microaerophilic environment combined with incubation at 42°C.
