Beckman Optima L-60 Ultracentrifuge, model Optima L-60, is manufactured by Beckman Coulter. The Beckman Optima™ L-60 Ultracentrifuge is designed with a microprocessor-based system that ensures the highest throughput in the minimum time possible. It employs a frequency-controlled vacuum encased induction drive which eliminates friction and heightens performance. The Optima™ L-60 also promotes efficient energy consumption by generating only a third of the BTU outputs of other standard centrifuges.
Equipped with a high-torque direct drive induction motor and brush-free system, the Optima™ L-60 guarantees excellent productivity and requires very low maintenance. Eye-balancing of sample tubes is made possible by its imbalance-tolerant drive feature. More importantly, the L-60’s smooth accel/decel profiles allow gentle handling of samples.
Other attributes of the Beckman Optima™ L-60 Ultracentrifuge include the following: diagnostic displays that recognize condition errors, a 0-40°C temperature control range, and an automatic restart system in case of power loss.
