Principle
In the presence of phenanthroline, VC can reduce ferric ion to ferric ion, which can form pink complex with phenanthroline under certain circumstances, with maximum absorption wavelength at 536 nm. The content of VC can be calculated by comparing color.

Suitable for the detection of animal serum (plasma), animal and plant tissue vitamin C(VC) content.
Procedure
