The VAC is a vacuum centrifugal concentrator for evaporating water and organic solvents from laboratory samples. It combines centrifugal motion, reduced pressure, and temperature control to support controlled sample concentration. Lowering the system pressure reduces solvent boiling temperature and enables evaporation under comparatively mild thermal conditions. Centrifugal rotation keeps samples within their vessels and helps limit foaming, splashing, and cross-contamination. The instrument is intended for biological, analytical, chemical, pharmaceutical, and general laboratory concentration workflows. It can be configured for common sample vessels including microcentrifuge tubes, glass tubes, centrifuge tubes, chromatography vials, centrifuge bottles, and multiwell plates. Programmable control supports repeatable concentration cycles while the chamber design simplifies routine handling and cleaning. Depending on the configuration, the system integrates or connects to a vacuum pump and cold trap for solvent-vapor management.
