Description

This electrically heated filter jacket is designed to maintain sterile-air and vent-filter assemblies at controlled temperatures. It is used to reduce condensation in vents installed on purified-water tanks, injection-water tanks, stills, preparation vessels, and similar equipment. The jacket can also support drying of vent filters after steam sterilization or integrity testing. Segmented power distribution reduces excessive temperature differences between the upper and lower portions of the filter. An integrated overtemperature circuit breaker interrupts heating when the temperature exceeds the stated safety threshold. A porous insulating layer reduces heat loss and keeps the outer surface near ambient temperature. The removable fastening structure is covered with fluoropolymer material for convenient installation and removal. A dual-display controller shows the measured heating temperature and the configured setpoint separately. The heating temperature can be adjusted throughout the specified operating range for different filter and process conditions.
